Hosta ‘Adorable’

It’s a sport of ‘Royal Standard’ and new this year in my garden. Very sun tolerant and blooms with large, sweetly scented white flowers in late summer. Medium to Large.

Hosta Cherry Berry lance-shaped leaves have yellow to white centres with dark green margins and violet flowers with rosy-red petioles. The name comes from the fall colour of the reddish seed pods.

It’s another hosta with red petioles.
The leaves are heartscaped and it’s a very rare collectors Hosta.

Hosta ‘One Man’s Treasure’

A very beautiful hosta with red petioles.
Medium mound size at maturity.
Hosta ‘One Man's Treasure’ has very shiny dark green leaves that are slightly rippled.
The outstanding characteristic of this hosta is the reddish-purple dots that are evident on the tops and bottoms of the petioles.
Good slug resistance.
One Hosta not to be without in any garden.

Spring is in the air!

This year it has been at long winter with frost and a lot of snow.

Hosta 'First Frost' August 2008


Here you can see the edges have been white.

The first hosta I want to put on here in the new year is hosta 'First Frost'
It's a beautiful hosta sport of H. 'Halcyon'
It makes a medium clump of beautiful blue leaves surrounded by a creamy border in the spring.
A great substance and will hold its looks long after others have gone in the autumn.
Lavender flowers.
Medium mound size at maturity.
